Salt Lake County Mayor Peter Corroon will announce major educational efforts aimed at the residents of Millcreek Township. Township voters will decide in the November general election whether they want to create the County’s 17th municipality.

“We are in the role of honest broker in this process,” says Mayor Peter Corroon. “I strongly support self determination for all our citizens and their communities, that’s why we’ve worked with both sides to produce the website and participate in the public meeting.”

The website dedicated to the Millcreek incorporation is up and running at www.millcreekballot.com. In addition, Salt Lake County is sponsoring a public information meeting the evening of Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Skyline High School in East Millcreek. Between now and the public meeting, the County will use direct mail to announce the meeting to Millcreek residents.
