County Animal Services New Phone Number
The changeover in phone service continues in Salt Lake County Government. Beginning tomorrow morning (Friday, August 24), Salt Lake County Animal Services will have a new phone number.The main number will be 385-GOT-PETS (385-468-7387). The change brings Animal Services in line with a county government wide upgrade to a uniform area code and prefix. The 385 area code is not long distance in Salt Lake Valley.
The move to a 385 area code comes out of necessity. There are no remaining numbers available in the 801 area code in either County government or Salt Lake Valley.
The new system offers Animal Services more flexibility and a more efficient call routing system designed to reduce hold times. There will also a significant monthly cost savings.
