Update: Babe Ruth World Series

Gary Herbert will be on hand to throw out the first pitch for tonight’s final game in divisional round robin play in the 14-year old Babe Ruth World Series in Murray. Host Murray takes on Newburgh, Indiana in the 8 p.m. nightcap.

Utah State Champion Vernal meets Westchester, California this evening at 5:30 p.m. Vernal beat Southbury, CT 14-4 in last night’s late game.

The 10-team event runs through Saturday, August 25 at Murray’s 5,000-seat Ken Price Park, 250 E. Vine Street, Murray.

Games Today Schedule (Wednesday, August 22, 2012):
     11:30 a.m. Southbury, CT vs. Twin Cities, WA
     2:00 p.m. Mineral Area, MO vs. Branchburg, NJ
     5:30 p.m. Vernal, UT vs. Westchester, CA
     8:00 p.m. Murray vs. Newburgh, NJ

Thursday Games:
     5:30 p.m. 3rd Place American Division v. 2nd Place National
     8:00 p.m. 3rd Place National Division v. 2nd Place American
